The Defend Them All Foundation urges INV Metals to abandon its proposed Loma Larga gold mining project at Kimsacocha.

Given the unacceptably high financial and ecological risks the Loma Larga Project presents, we urge INV Metals to respect the Ecuadorian peoples’ rights to nature, to water, and to a fair democratic process for deciding what is in their best interests and abandon the Loma Larga project. As an international organization concerned with the health and well-being of all living things, we stand behind the biodiversity in danger at Kimsacocha. Our full support is behind the persistent opposition expressed by those who will be directly affected when these undeniable risks materialize.

On October 14, 2019, the Defend Them All Foundation released a public letter to INV Metals in opposition of the Loma Larga projected located at Kimsacocha in Azuay, Ecuador.
